Abstract Cecil Payne was born in 1915 in Georgetown, Idaho. He was drafted in 1940 and was a member of the 753rd Field Artillery group in Europe. The first combat he saw was the Battle of the Bulge, while supporting the 9th Army. He was discharged in 1945. 60 pages.
