When her abdomen began to swell alarmingly and all the Chinese medicine she took gave her no improvement, she began to remember that she had been told that there is healing for souls as well as bodies; and when Dr. Chang removed a cyst that weighed over eighty-five pounds (she herself then weighed only one hundred pounds), she wanted to learn more about the power to heal. Her interest has continued in her home and we prajr will soon lead her to make a definite decision for Christ, (c) Mr. Wang (not of the same family) had been an officer in the army, and wounded twice, so that he was in the Hospital several months at a time. After he returned home the last time, the pastor at P'ing Yuan wrote Mr. Chu of Mr. Wang's keen interest and enthusiasm for the "Way", saying that he attends every service held at the Church, reads his Bible constantly, goes out with the evangelistic, bands to give his testmony, and has asked for admission to church membership Tho not as many as we would wish, there is a steady number of patients who having first heard of Jesus in the Hospital, or had their interest deepened while here, have become seekers after the Truth and finally have become his followers. - 7 - |
