Show tory technique and is at work. In the last part of the year every one of the professional staff, with one exception, has been afflicted with illness, some of them so seriously as to cause their absence from work for a considerable time. For two weeks we had to borrow a physician from the neighbouring hospital at Tehchow. The diseases and conditions most frequently seen and treated were: amoebic dysentery, tertian malaria, pulmonary, joint and bone tuberculosis, kala-azar, venereal diseases, diabetes, intestinal worms, trachoma, scabies, ulcers of various kinds, abscesses, cellulitis, hemorrhoids, gun-shot wounds, simple and compound fractures, hernia, cystolithiasis, peptic ulcer, and carcinnoma of the breast. Our obstetrical cases increased in number considerably. We present our annual statistics herewith: |
