Edith, dear: - Apologies for not sooner answering your good l e t t e r of f a i r l y recent date, especially since you asked about operations for Thyroid Grind F & I , both, have removed such, with beneficial r e s u l t s to the p a t i e n t concerned - in every c?se. In China we had to te the deciding factor as to whether an operation should be performed. Here in America, there pre, fortunately, men who give t h e i r whole time and a b i l i t y to treatemht of diseases of the endocrine glands, of which the Thyroid i s one. ""We think you will do well to abide by the decision of your choice of physician in the case. I feel sure you can ask your (Hubbard's) doctor about the matter - real frankly, and he will advise you both so well. I wish we could do more about the matter. Dr Geo Wilder, cf Ho China, i s quoted as to what Prof Jones ' students who l a t e r went to China, thot of h i s courses in Ornithology. Myra reached Boston on Mar 28. She with Grace Boynton l e f t Los Angeles, Mar IS; had sev'1 hrs in Chicago betw change of t r a i n s , so,our wm asked for a half-day off, and met them, an A, while G B was cared for by her friends, Myra was taken to the So Side, seeing Wm,Sally, and baby Mirkhy(l yr old, TXy 8} and F r a n k i e ' s lUmme and Betty Jrne(2 yrs eld,nxt June 13) . Tlxt was on Mar 21, G B was l e f t with her fine pastor brother, Scarsdale, N Y ( he pastor of Cong'1 Ch t h e r e ) . So far, nothing b a s i c a l ly wrong has been found with Myra.
