Description |
1888-1889; Blair, Nellie Thatcher, to George E. Blair. Correspondence continues as they make plans for their marriage in June. Lectures him, urging him to try harder in the real estate business. Tries to cheer him up. He suffers constant depression. Decide to cancel building a home as it will cost too much. Questions him about his business ventures and debts, saying she worries so much about it that it "haunts" her. (There is a lapse in the correspondence from May 25 to August 2, and during this time they were married.) August 26, 1888, finds Nellie at home once again in Logan, missing her new husband while she is visiting her folks. Again, they write of building a home--two rooms to live in |
