1901-1902; Blair, George E., to Nellie Thatcher Blair. Blair is working for the White Star Oil Company and tells of going to Nevada to the wells. Nellie and family are again in Logan. In March of 1902 he is in New York and Boston on oil business, and at the same time trying to get a play produced and sent to Utah. Says it is considered a big thing among theatrical and newspaper people. Hopes to interest theater backers in New York. Has had a Mr. Haworth, a powerful actor and genius, read the play. From Salt Lake City in May, George writes to Nellie in Logan where she has gone because of the illness of her father. Says to get in touch with a Brother Kingston, living in Coalville, who has the gift of healing. Again travels East, trying to get his play in production, concerned about the leading lady, Miss Lane, who thinks she is the whole show |
