In the last decade and especially during and; after the COVID-19 pandemic, both adults and children are spending more time on; screens. Healthcare providers have raised concerns about the short- and long-term; effects of screen time on early childhood development with this exponential use of; screens in daily life. This State of the Science Review provides a comprehensive; description of the consequences of technology use in young children, both beneficial; and detrimental. The aim of this research review is to examine the effects of increasing; screen time and electronic use on child development of children ages 0-5 years. |
