Dear Flag contest: Subject: Flag Contest Included here-in; are some designs for a new Utah State flag Lt Governor Olene Walker; has a good thought when she said "Golly; I don't think it's ugly; but it is too busy" The present flag fits the "original historical flag" theme very well indeed; but here is an opportunity to try "something new" Utah; is a study of contrasts; desert and pine forests; cold and hot; dry and wet; summer recreation And winter recreation; ancient cultures and pioneer cultures; plains and mountains Utah is considered "The Crossroads of the West" Its diversity of people gives it a divrsity of cultures Uah has an incredibly great past; present; and future So; why not portray the state with a new image? Here are four entries; which portray our Utah; as a land; diverse and contrast; Crossroads of the West; and united in our quest for the highest quality of life!
