Canon of Grand River [Lake Fork], Sept 13th [i.e. 9th], sketch |
Description |
Sketch of a view of the canyon of Lake Fork, tributary of the Grand (now Gunnison) River, drawn by Richard H. Kern during the Gunnison expedition. This sketch is the central third of a panorama sketched on 9 September; the date of Sept. 13 was mistakenly added later, as Shlaer explains. In the foreground is the canyon of Willow Creek. Uncompahgre Peak is seen in the distance. |
