Description |
Presenting Symptom: Cotton wool spots. Pathology: Retinal ischemia. Clinical: The patient was a 59-year old female with a blood pressure of 192/96. Although the major retinal arteries are not well visualized in this central view, the cotton wool spots and exudative star figure about the macula are clear. The fundi had returned to normal a year after surgery. Disease/ Diagnosis: Retinopathy secondary to a pheochromocytoma. |
