The initials GJSR are written on the illustration] <br><br> SENIOR RAMBLINGS. <br> When I see a Freshie with his pants roiled up, <br> His beautiful sox to parade, <br> On the back of his head a rah-rah hat <br> Of a delicate grass-green shade; <br> His dear little fingers all decked with rings, <br> His hair of a pompadore cut, I turn away and sadly say: <br> "Was I ever that big a mutt." <br><br> When I see a Soph with one glove off, <br> A bull-dog pipe in his hand, <br> A loud cravat tied in a bow <br> And shoes of a brilliant tan; <br> His beautiful face all covered with fuz <br> And his "Cupid's bow" lips never shut; <br> I turn away and sadly say: <br> "Was I ever that big a mutt?" <br><br> When I see a Junior with his wide "peg tops," <br> And a loud checked coat to match, <br> Large diamond pin and cuff links, too, <br> Heavy gold fob and Ingersol watch; <br> Hands deep in his pocket so as to show <br> His nice white vest of latest cut, <br> I turn away and sadly say: <br> "Was I ever that big a mutt?"-Ex. <br><br> A meeting of the Senior class was called December 20, 1910, in order to discuss important matters, but everyone was excited on account of only one more day of school, therefore the meeting was postponed until some time in February. <br> A bright Senior was telling of Milton's life and writings: "Milton was married three times. Then he wrote "Paradise Lost." Later his wife died. Then he wrote "Paradise Regained." <br> Miss Smith-"How large a family did Bunyan have?" <br> Lorena-Oh, quite a few." <br> We regret to say our worthy Senior, Magda Johansen's vacation was shadowed by the sad death of her grandfather. <br> Jessie and Mary Robertson report a hot time, everyone at home sick and Bingham such a pleasant town. <br><br> JUNIOR NOTES. <br> All the Juniors reported having a nice time during the holidays, but all were glad to be back to work again. <br> The Juniors held a class meeting, it was called by Selma Swanson, vice-president. They decided to entertain the Sophomores at a party Friday evening, January 20. Anna Spongberg was elected chairman of the affair. <br> Miss Smith-"What is there similar in Milton and Shakespeare?" <br> Buff-"They both made good use of the dictionary." (Alas, too true.) <br> Mildred Hone didn't tell us anything about her vacation in Benjamin, Utah. <br> Selma Swansen and Elizabeth Snedden spent a happy and good vacation in Diamondville, Wvo. [sic] <br> Johns-"Why didn't you tackle that man?" <br> Beau Meanest-"The simple reason is that I have sprained my hydropoloslabicthespheneric nerve, which the doctor says is vicariously prognosticated." <br><br> |
