Description |
First edition of Bacon's Novum organum, the second part of his intended multivolume work on the scientific method. Published in 1620 in London by Apud Joannem Billium, Typographia Regium. The Nouum organum is followed by a sketch of the third part, which the author calls "Parasceve, ad historiam natvralem, et experimentalem", and a "Catagvs historiarvm paricvlarivm, secundum capita". Works which represent the first and third part were published later; of the fourth and fifth parts only prefaces were written. |
