Description |
Presenting Symptom: Blurred vision OD. Pathology: Focal opacification of the retinal. A 27-year old male with a chief complaint of blurred vision of the right eye of a 1-week duration. The fundus showed a focal opacification and elevation of the retina between the disc and macula with mild ensheathing of the efferent vein and minimal exudate over the disc. The edges of the lesion were ill-defined, as occurs with inflammatory lesions, and were unlike those of infarcts or serous exudates. Systemic examination disclosed a positive toxoplasmin dye test in dilutions of 1:256. Disease/ Diagnosis: Toxoplasmosis |
