Description |
This study explores how Millennial Generation students exhibit the effects of parental involvement as well as characteristics of personal responsibility, and entitlement. By triangulating multiple sources of research, this study helps to describe the perceived behaviors of the Millennial Generation in a college or university setting. Millennial Generation students are perceived to have a strong connection with their parents and sometimes act entitled. The research performed during this study also suggests that Millennial Generation students sometimes act in a responsible manner, while at other times do not. This study displays connections between the parents of Millennials' becoming involved, the responsibility of Millennial students, and the Millennials' sense of entitlement. These findings can help higher-education administrators when communicating with Millennial Generation students and their parents. This study also suggests further actions administrators can take to better serve Millennial Generation students and their parents. |
