Description Since the 1990s, the opioid epidemic has seen increase in the number of opioid-related deaths. Currently, the only approved treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD) is Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The need for providers to be more comfortable with prescribing medications for opioid use disorder (MOUDs) has risen with the opioid epidemic. Purpose: The purpose of this DNP project is to measure the pre and post-education module of nurse practitioners regarding opioid use disorder and their comfort and knowledge surrounding it.
