Approval has been granted to the College to initiate this new schedule commencing with Autumn Quarter 1°69. Approved proposal to establish the Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute This proposed Institute will be a unit of the University, bridging a number of colleges as well as various departments within those colleges. Medicine, engineering, nursing and pharmacy will be involved. The Institute will encourage an interdisciplinary approach, provide opportunities for joint education and research and improve means for applying the results of research and training. This Institute is established largely for funding purposes, inasmuch as federal and other support may be more easily attracted to an organization with some degree of autonomy.
