Atiya, Director Middle East Center University of Utah Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Professor Atiya: This is in response to your letter of November 1 addressed to Batus Smith. The date of your letter is the day that Datus left the country again! This time he has gone for a trip to Africa and will not be back until the end of next month. I know he will enjoy reading your letter on his return; however, he would expect me to take care of your request, and we can move ahead on it fairly quickly. On the day your letter was received we made an office move, and our lives are somewhat disorganized at the moment. But as soon as we have our Arabic collection back upon the shelves, and our employees are free to do more normal tasks, I'm sure we can organize the collection you request. We shall also put you on the mailing list for Arabic books as we receive them from Cairo, Beirut, and Baghdad. Thanks for writing. Sincerely yours, Donald S.
