Atiya Faruk I University C a i r o ^MfHfc ZORICH 32, der, April 25th, 1951 Sonnenbergstrasse 19 Tel. 34 25 70 Dear Professor Atiya, Having participated myself in 1898 in a scientific expedition to the Monastery St. Catherine on Mount Sinai with the purpose to collate 72 manuscripts of the Greek New Testament in view of a new Greek edition of the New Testament, published by Professor von ooden in Berlin, I am interested in the recent research work which has been done in the Monastery by an American-Egyptian expedition. I have written myself a little book on my journey to Mount Sinai, arid am maintaining such interest in all scientific work to be done in this field. I received information from Dr. Luther Evans of the Library of Congress in Washington what is to be expected from your research work $ou have accomplished in the Monastery, and Dr. Evans has promised me t® let me have a summary or some articles or reports which might keep me au courant as I am often asked to write on this subject.
