Description |
Presenting Symptom: Papilledema. Pathology: Hemorrhage. Clinical: The patient was a 54-year old male who had had a tributary venous occlusion of the other eye 10 years previous. The photograph centered on the macula shows extensive hemorrhages arranged in a double arcuate fashion corresponding to the distribution of the nerve fibers. Adjacent to the disc on the right, the hemorrhages are arranged concentrically in consequence of the papilledema. (The central dark spot is a photographic artifact.). Disease/ Diagnosis: Retinal vein occlusion. |
