Dr Samuelson was born in Salt Lake City Utah in 1941. Dr Samuelson received his B.S. (1966), M.S. in Educational Psychology and M.D. (1970) from the University of Utah. Dr Samuelson completed his Internship, Residencyand Fellowship in rheumatic and genetics diseases at Duke University. Dr Samuelson was a member the University Department of Medicine from 1973-1990. Dr Samuelson was Dean of the School of Medicine (1985-1988) and Vice President for Health Sciences (1988-1990). Dr Samuelson became Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs at Intermountain Health Care and President of IHC Hospitals in 1993. Dr Samuelson became President of Brigham Young University in 2003. |
