Ambulances from the Utah Army and Air National Guard as well as an additional seventeen provided by the Tooele Army Depot, Deseret Test Center, Ft. Douglas, Hill Air Force Base, and Defense Depot Ogden comprised the flotilla of vehicles which ferried patients to the new University of Utah Medical Center from the old Salt Lake County General Hospital on the morning of July 10, 1965. |
