Stain: Hematoxylin and eosin. (1) indicates a bronchiolus with respiratory epithelium and muscle fibers in its wall. Alveolar spaces (2) are separated by alveolar cell types that lined thin septa with capillaries. The septa end in tips and knobs (3). |
