Handwritten answers by George William Vogel of Ogden, Utah, for a questionnaire filled out for Utah Works Progress Administration's "Pioneer personal history" survey, He was born in Ohio in 1841, served in the Union Army in the Civil War, and pursued mining in Colorado and Utah. He also describes hunting buffalo with William (Buffalo Bill) Cody, and fighting against the "Allen Gang" of renegade Indians. Typed by Alice G. Mitchell of Ogden in 1938 |
