Just then there was a great rushing and whizzing sound over his head. He looked up and saw the old witch in a cloud being whisked through the air. She was very angry and was trying all her magic to try and stop the magic of the small fairy. But she couldn't stop it so she was dropped into the river and drowned. The little fairy told the prince where Rowena was and so he gave the ring back to the maiden and set out to find her. After he had walked many days he came to a small cottage in the woods where three woodcutters lived. He asked them if they had seen Rowena and they said that a Knight dressed in black, on a black horse had stolen Rowena and taken her away with him to his castle. The prince was very tired but he set out to find the castle. He walked through forests and over mountains and finally came to the castle. It was built upon a cliff and around it was a ditch a mile wide. There was a draw bridge over the ditch and on the other side were many knights dressed in black on black horses and who had swords that flashed fire. The prince didn't know how to get across but just then a small bird flew down by him with something in its mouth. The bird laid the package at his feet and told him it was a cloack which when wrapped around him would make him invisible and would carry him anywhere be wished to go. The bird flew away and the prince wrapped the cloak around him and sailed over the ditch and the knights. He sailed, up to the castle and Into the window where Rowena was. He wrapped the cloak around her and they flew away back to his kindom, where they were married and lived happily ever after. ---------o--------- Cambeil "What are you doing Paul?'' fl Paul "I'm writing a letter to my girl."
