Title |
Employment trends and covid-19 in Utah |
Date |
2021 |
Description |
In this thesis I will evaluate the state of the Utah job market before and after the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. During the first year after initial economic downturn, Utah emerged as an economic stronghold, and Salt Lake City metropolitan area had the lowest average unemployment rate in the nation (Lang and Mackrael, April 2021). I will explore the factors at play in the Utah economy and explain the statistical evidence of the status of the job market using data on unemployment claims. |
