Sky Blue: symbolizes the loyalty Utahns have to the state. Urges Utah to strive to keep its skies clean and beautiful, striving upward to a better future. Red Mountains: Red rocks of southern Utah and mountains throughout the state are a main reason many choose to live and play in Utah. White: Represents beautiful glacial snowfields or the vast Salt Flats unique to Utah. White also symbolizes a clean slate from which Utah can build into the future. Honeycomb and Beehive Seal: the honeycomb shape is uniquely Utah and along with the beehive represents industry, hard work and cooperation. The navy blue and yellow combination are recognizable from the classic Utah flag. The single star represents the place that Utah holds as one of the 50 states, a nod toward bettering America and not just Utah. This would serve as the new State Seal. Overall, red, white, and blue provide a familiar color palate for Utahs government to represent, is easy to see from far away, yet distinct from the American Flag and other state flags. Without the seal, the flag remains with 3 red peaks, a blue sky, and a white field. This design can be incorporated into a future marketing identity of the state and it's constituents.
