Delicate Arch tattooed with Utah symbols

Although my students feel limited in their ability to draw all the ideas they came up with, they had many creative thought. I have combined most of them in this idea. My students felt Utah already contained the perfect time capsule in our sedimentary red rocks, represented her by Utah's Iconic Delicate Arch. The layers of our past, present and future start with our fossils and dinosaur bones. Our Wetlands, Mountains and famous Quaking aspens are represented, as well as our wildlife, birds, fish, cougars, bears and buffalo. Our first people are represented in petroglyphs from newspaper rock. Immigrants are represented by a wagon wheel in the petroglyphs. As we rise trough the layers of our past we have cliff dwellings to cities, farming industries, film, technology, space, tourism, skiing, and of course our tremendous universities. All of these culminate in a colorful handshake representing our ability to share and receive ideas from everywhere and everyone to make us a better state.
