Title |
Control of NOx emissions |
Date |
1980 |
Description |
NITROGEN OXIDES (NOX) are produced in combustion from molecular nitrogen (thermal NOx) or from oxidation of nitrogen contained in the fuel (fuel NOx). Production of NOx in a turbulent diffusion flame is largely dependent upon fuel composition and fuel/air contacting, which for liquid fuels is determined by interaction of fuel spray and combustion air. |
