The beehive is the base symbol of the Beehive state and of the unity and hard work of the people. The cross design is the cross-roads of the west. White is for snow and the natural beauty of the untouched wilds of the state. The golden shield is symbolic of the stability of the economy which comes from the hard work of the "hive". The teal is representative of the future of the state. Meaning not only open communication and clarity but also symbolic of infinity being the color of the sky or the great salt lake. |
