Designed with my good friend Spencer Crawford, the theme for this flag was cross roads of the west. With the completion of the transcontinental railroad at Promontory Summit, we wanted to promote the idea of the railroad crossing the continent joining together at Utah, the place to be. The orange representing the red sands of the south, and white showing the snow capped peaks of the north, and the blue showing the ever lasting rivers and lakes that are spread throughout the beehive state.
