Description |
"This flag represents Utah as a whole. Direct your eyes to the middle of the flag where you will see 3 mountains. Besides just representing the mountains that are a part of Utah, they also represent the three regions of this state. The color; a light grey, shows the snow, the great outdoors, nature, and adventure (sego lilies are also white). It's beautiful. The blue is the same color as on the current flag and represents open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, inspiration, sensitivity, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, intelligence, not to mention the great salt lake.. (All things important to Utah) The yellow half-circle is the same color as the circle on the current flag, an aspect of history, as it represents all the arches in Utah (specifically delicate arch), the beehive (showing how resilient and hardworking Utahns are). It represents a new horizon, like the pioneers when they first crossed our mountains, into a valley that we call home. The red represents the red rock of Utah, love, passion, courage, vigor, health, life, and religious fervor. It's the perfect Utah flag and can be seen from very, very far away." |
