"The red background represents the National parks that are in Utah, specifically Arches National Park, which has many red arches. The blue border represents the 2,000 lakes and 89,000 streams that go throughout Utah. The eagle represents that we are a part of the United States, as well as the main colors, red, white, and blue. The 4-point and 5-point stars represent the number 45, as Utah is the 45th state. The beehive represents Utah's motto; Industry. 1896 represents the year which Utah was founded. The three pentagons represent the number 15, as in 15 ski/snowboarding resorts in Utah." |
