"Blue represents bravery, and the pioneers that first came to Utah were really, really brave. The bee symbol represents hard work, and the pioneers worked incredibly hard to do well in UT. The white represents purity, and I think that it works because the land was really pure, and not traveled through, or busy, it was just new, and clean, not cluttered, and, well, pure. It also works really well because the mountains were really pure, and they are white on my flag. The red on the flag represents strength, and the pioneers were very strong. But the red on the flag also represents the strength of the immigrants that built the transcontinental railroad, which was connected in UT. Those immigrants worked SO hard, and were not paid well for it. It is sort of an honor to them. My flag is also red, white, and blue, which is a nice patriotic part of it. It is also not competing with the USA flag, because it has the bee. One of my favorite parts about my flag is how the bottom part is blue, like the beautiful lakes in UT, and that is a really nice blend with the mountains."
