My design features a solid blue background with a thin orange line and three white and yellow sego lillies. The blue represents the Great Salt Lake, the orange the red rock in southern Utah, and the white on the Sego lilies Utah's famous snow. The three sego lilies represent the different groups who have made Utah the state it is today-- pioneers and settlers from many backgrounds, explorers who traveled and mapped the state, the indigenous peoples whose home this first was. Although I used watercolor to create this design, I envision all the colors being solid in the actual flag.
