Description |
White symbolizes the snow that graces Utah's beautiful peaks, providing water to the state and recreational opportunities. Reddish-orange represents Utah's unique red rock country, as well as our copper industry. This is a unique color that will set our flag apart. Blue represents Utah's rivers and lakes, as well as our amazing night skies. The three sections of the flag represent Utah's location at the convergence of three distinct geological regions: the Rocky Mountains, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau. One of the earliest symbols of Utah, the beehive is an emblem of hard work and community, representing Utah's motto: Industry. This flag is instantly recognizable as belonging to Utah, and is high contrast, allowing even those with colorblindness to recognize it. |
