Pink, purple, blue horizontal sections, with black zig zagged parallel lines in middle, white arch in center of composition

Colors: the flag has pink on the top and blue on the bottom. When the railroad was constructed through the middle of the Great Salt Lake, it turned the top half pink and the bottom half remained blue. We also have amazing pink sunsets and other amazing blue lakes throughout the state The purple represents both our state school rivals. When we combine blue and red we get purple- a royal, regal color. The white of the arch represents what our state is known for and that is our white, snowy peaks. Symbols: There are three bars on the flag, one black, one purple, and another black. All 3 bars have 8 peaks and if you add those up it equals 24, which is the number of mountain peaks we have in our state. The white arch in the middle represents the delicate arch, the symbol of Utah itself. But if you turn the flag upside down you see that it turns into a U as well. The main theme of this flag is unity and i wanted to incorporate as much as that into the design as I could. North and south, Utah Utes and BYU Cougars, earth and sky. And when are united and work together, we are stronger than ever!
