The upper white bar symbolizes a clean slate of exciting future opportunities and growth. The lower white bar represents the integrity of our state's roots and history, and also calls to mind our greatest snow on earth and the dazzling Bonneville Salt Flats. The blue bar in the center represents the centrality of justice to our state's culture--protection from crime and protection and equitable treatment for the vulnerable. The yellow circle represents the light of truth giving direction to that justice. The beehive is obviously an important state symbol as it is and represents industry and cooperation.
