Description |
The colors are pulled from the colors found in Utah's state flower, the Sego Lilly. The yellow at the top represents optimism and hope above all else. The purple in the mountain range represents the spirituality the state was founded on as well as representing the line, "For Purple Mountains Majesties," from the song America the Beautiful. The mountain range depicted is King's Peak, Utah's highest peak which touches against the white sky representing the unknown future ahead of us. A blank slate to be filled. And of course, the Utah Beehive as the perfect representation of people working together, but also, as a reminder that we're all family and have a place where we belong. The Beehive is also bathed in the same yellow to symbolize the creation of the hope we're striving for. |
