Description Image of Handkerchief quilt created in 1840-1850 by Unknown quilter. Also includes questionnaires describing the quilt completed by Marie Gunnell as part of the Utah Quilt Guild's documentation days held from 1988-1994. The quilt is constructed in the manner of a medallion quilt and is composed of 2-2 1/4 in. blocks of strap fabrics, much like a "charm" quilt. The borders and between fabric is cotton and broadcloth. Triangles made of the 2 in. blocks are used in one of the borders. The scrap fabrics were pieced to make the 2 in. blocks. The quilting lines have not been marked
