Description |
"The central emblem of gold hexagons reference to bees, beekeeping, and the beehive state. Each Utahn can find their own meaning in the colors used in the horizontal bands: - White may symbolize ice and snow, or purity, or heaven, or peace... - Red may symbolize struggle, or indigenous people, or red rocks... - Blue may symbolize universality, or water, or sky... All of the colors in this flag are taken from the current flag to pay respect to it's history. The selection of Red, White, & Blue tie the flag to the greater United States of America but the layered presentation shows the unique spirit of Utah." |
