Description |
This star pattern is called the "Beehive Cluster" and is Utah's official constellation. It represents a call to our citizens to look higher and further out to the future. The stars also represent the Dark Sky Awards for all five of our national parks. The eight sections in the background represent Utah's eight national monuments: Cedar Breaks, Dinosaur, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Bears Ears, Rainbow Bridge, and Timpanogos Cave. The positioning of the sections also gives the appearance of looking up at the stars out of a canyon, representing the many canyons loved in our state. Blue symbolizes our commitment to progress Orange symbolizes our enthusiasm for the outdoors Coral represents our red rock country White symbolizes the snow that graces Utah's beautiful peaks. |
