Description |
"This design is similar to the first two, but instead of two banners, I paid tribute to the 125th commorative flag, with the red, white, and blue areas crossing like they do on that flag. The red on top and blue on bottom still represent the sunset and the Great Salt Lake, as well as the red rock desert. The white still represents the snow, and the Arch also doubles as a beehive. The two stars still represent statehood and nation, as well as past and future and the 2002 Olympics. They also still pay an obvious homage to the American flag. However, there is no longer a clear representation of the sun and moon, so they no longer represent those celestial objects. All other colors, symbols, and meanings remain the same as those of the first two design submissions." |
