Factors contributing to successful retirement deserve increased attention given the rapid growth of the aging population. Antecedent to successful retirement is successful aging. The middle aged population is an opportune target for health promotion and health education interventions as this group begins to show an increased tendency to be concerned about factor accounting for the difference between "usual" versus "successful" aging, the purpose of this article is to focus on the need for early health education intervention that will contribute to successful aging and retirement. |
