Description |
This paper seeks to formally review and evaluate a Kickstarter campaign launched by a team of five students at the University of Utah. First, an introduction to the topic and its environment is outlined to clarify where the project came from. Next, an overview of the product's design and development timeline is given. Afterwards, the Kickstarter campaign and its marketing tasks are discussed. Data is tracked and analyzed using Kickstarter's project dashboard so that the effects of marketing and production can be evaluated. Analysis looks into several variables tracked by the tool, such as pledge amount and referrers. These data points are then correlated to several marketing tasks the team carried out. A discussion of the project follows, assessing the overall successes and failures of the product and Kickstarter campaign. Finally, a postmortem and conclusion on the project is given, detailing what was learned from it and improvements that can be made on future campaigns. |
