The Western Federation of Watercolor Societies is a collective partnership amongst several Watercolor Societies in the Western United States. Every year this federation sponsors an annual juried exhibition of collage and water-based media. The twenty-third international exhibition was hosted by the Watercolor Art Society-Houston at the Lyric Center. Arne Westerman juired show and selected 76 paintings out of 605 entries. The First Place award winner was Southwestern Symbols by Carole Myers. The Second Place award winner was Off Pier 53 by Wendell Mohr. The president of the Watercolor Art Society - Houston was Lou Glist, 2000. |
