Description |
This design simply uses the shield design from the current state flag (minus the words). Using this design would maintain an image of the state flag on the state seal, and is consistent with the example of "how to do things right" used by Roman Mars in his popular TED talk on flag design. The sego lily, the state flower of Utah, represents peace and is a reminder of both the early pioneers to the state and the Indian tribes who helped them survive by using the sego lily bulb for food. The beehive represents progress and hard work, values that are just as important to the state today as they were in 1847. |
