Blue, white and red zig zag background sections with five white stars in upper blue section with yellow hexagon in center

Overall, I wanted to tie our flag with the United States flag with red, white, and blue. The red symbolizes southern Utah and our red rocks. The white symbolizes our mountains and the "world-famous snow". To better illustrate the mountains, that white is in the shape of mountains The blue symbolizes the natural beauty, lakes, and blue skies of Utah. The blue is also directly pulled from our current State flag. On the first flag are 5 stars to represent the 5 main tribes of Utah as well as our 5 national parks. On the second flag, this is represented by 5 peaks at the top and 5 peaks at the bottom. Then the honeycomb hexagon is in the center. The hexagon represents us as the beehive state and at the center symbolizes that hard work is at the heart of everything we do. The yellow was specifically chosen as it was a collaboration between Utah and Crayola for the shade of yellow called "Be-UTAH-ful"
