Typescrfipt of a sketch biography of Richard Franklin Shumway, from an interview for the Utah Works Progress Administration's "Pioneer personal history" survey. . He was born at Mendon, Utah, in 1868 before his family settled in southern Utah, and he became a stockraiser in Kane and Garfield counties, settling at Tropic in the 1890s. Typed by Layton J.
