Description Sketch drawn by Richard H. Kern of the "three tetons" of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Blanca Peak, as seen by the Gunnison expedition on 11 August 1853 as it was constructing a road through Sangre de Cristo Pass. The high peaks are Crestone, Kit Carson, and Humboldt peaks.
