| Description |
Dr Heilbrun was born in Buffalo, New York in 1937. Dr Heilbrun attended Brown University as an undergraduate and received his M.D. from SUNY - Buffalo in 1962. From 1964-1966 Dr Heilbrun served as a medical officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Dr Heilbrun came to the university in 1971 and served as Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery from 1983-2000. Dr Heilbrun also served as interim Dean of the School of Medicine in 1997. Dr Heilbrun joined the faculty of Stanford University in 2000. Dr Heilbrun died in 2010. |
